ABOUT THE ROLE
The Mechanical Supervisor (Trades) position is responsible for co-ordinating trade qualified work teams to deliver all required trade activities.
The positions have a number of overarching functions including; day-to-day operational support, providing SQE leadership on site, job planning, toolboxes, and people leadership.
You will be fulfilling the customer’s needs by leading mechanical work activities on a number of different assets, including water, recycled water, sewer treatment plants, pump stations and other assets for numerous clients and customers throughout the region.
You’ll work as part of our projects and maintenance team that is dedicated to providing quality customer outcomes.
You will be an integral part of the operations team and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the mechanical workshop.
You’re safety focused, motivated, and able to work according to operating procedures whilst proactively identifying problems and developing innovative solutions, with a real drive for continuous improvement.
You take pride in your work and have a positive attitude toward resolving technical problems.
You embrace change and are willing to learn about new equipment and technologies and grow with the organisation. You have the ability to emerge in field maintenance services.
You are inclusive and want to be part of an agile team, committed to building strong relationships and contributing to the overall team goals.
WHAT BAS ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience at a supervisory level in a similar environment.
- Relevant trade understanding and qualifications e.g. Certificate III in Engineering or relevant
- Commitment to leading workplace health and safety and constructive team dynamics
- Collaborative team member who works extremely well in team environments and also able to work autonomously.
