Based in Western Australia, Kathryn works for Electrical Group Training, consistently dedicated to providing female electrical apprentices the best support and advice throughout their apprenticeships. Katelyn Lyddiard is one of many female apprentices at Newcastle Master Builders Apprentices. Over the past two years that Katelyn has been employed with MBA as an apprentice Plumber she has developed excellent trade skills, problem solving techniques and the ability to work to her highest potential. She is a dependable employee who shows a real commitment and passion towards her work. Jo left Canberra at 19 determined to be a rockstar and 5 years later found herself an A grade electrician. Using her trade to travel the globe, Jo returned to Australia to work as a hazardous area operator in very tough conditions. Jo’s career pivoted to teaching electrical trades at NECA, then opening her own business “Elechick” while raising three primary aged children. Jo is a true trailblazer, recently retraining as the first female tunnel boring machine operator in Australia.
